Birgit Malsack-Winkemann

Birgit Malsack-Winkemann (12 August 1964-) was a German Alternative for Germany MP from 24 October 2017 to 26 September 2021.

Biography[]

Birgit Malsack-Winkemann was born in Darmstadt, Hesse, West Germany in 1964. He studied jurisprudence and became a judge in Berlin in 2003, and she joined the newly-founded Alternative for Germany in 2013 and was elected to the Bundestag in 2017. She lost re-election in 2021, and she resumed her service as a judge, while also becoming involved in the far-right Reichsbürger movement. On 7 December 2022, she was arrested at her home in Berlin for plotting a coup against the German government.
