Billy Sherbert was the head of security at the Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sherbert worked for Frank Rosenthal, and he was responsible for punishing any cheaters in the casino, and for ensuring that the rules were enforced. Sherbert was involved in the brutal retaliations carried out by the casino against cheaters, such as breaking their hands and murdering others. In 1980, Anthony Spilotro beat him up after Sherbert menacingly stared at him for taking a large sum of the casino's money, and Spilotro returned to playing cards.
