
Billy Lime (1845-) was an American moonshiner from Louisiana who was associated with the Braithwaite family. In 1899, he, Eliphalet Moffett, Zachariah Pedan, and Isaiah Channel were arrested at their still at Merkin's Waller on the orders of Sheriff Leigh Gray. Deputy Archibald MacGregor recognized and taunted Lime, who was a frequent troublemaker.
