Billy Wayne Grammer (28 August 1925-10 August 2011) was an American country musician from Benton, Illinois. He served in the US Army during World War II and became a country musician in Nashville after the war; he was best-known for his 1959 hit "Gotta Travel On". Grammer was a supporter of conservative Democratic politician George Wallace during his 1970 gubernatorial campaign and his 1972 presidential campaign, campaigning for him until he was shot by Arthur Bremer. He died in Benton in 2011 at the age of 85.
