Billy Crash

Billy Crash (1818-5 May 1859) was an American man who served as an overseer at Calvin J. Candie's Candyland plantation in Chickasaw County, Mississippi during the 1850s. In 1859, he repeatedly antagonized the Black bounty hunter Django Freeman during his visit to Candyland, and he attempted to castrate him after Freeman killed his boss Candie. Freeman later ambushed and killed Crash and the remaining guards at the plantation as they returned from Candie's funeral, shooting Crash in the pelvis to avenge his attempted castration.
