Bill Posey

William Joseph "Bill" Posey (18 December 1947-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-FL 15) from 2009 to 2013 (succeeding Dave Weldon and preceding Dennis A. Ross) and from FL 8 from 2013 to 2025 (succeeding Daniel Webster and preceding Mike Haridopolos).

Biography[]

Bill Posey was born in Washington DC in 1947, and his family moved to Florida in 1956. He worked for McDonnell Douglas and did Apollo Space Program work at Kennedy Space Center until he was laid off. He became involved with local politics after leaving this post, and he served in the State House of Representatives from 1992 to 2000, in the State Senate from 2000 to 2008, and in the US House of Representatives from 2009. He held typical conservative views.
