Bill Grant

Bill Grant (born 14 August 1951) was the Scottish Conservatives MP for Ayr, Carrick, and Cumnock from 8 June 2017, succeeding Corri Wilson and preceding Allan Dorans.

Biography[]

Bill Grant was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1951, and he worked on the Ayr fire brigade for 31 years and served as a justice of peace before entering politics as a member of the Scottish Conservatives. In 2017, he was elected to Parliament from Ayr, Carrick, and Cumnock. He lost re-election amid an SNP wave in 2019.
