Bill Flores

Bill Flores (born 25 February 1954) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-TX 17) from 3 January 2011 to 3 January 2021, succeeding Chet Edwards and preceding Pete Sessions.

Biography[]

Bill Flores was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1954, and he did not advertise himself as Hispanic, despite his paternal family coming from Spain and settling Texas in 1725. He worked as a CFO for two energy service firms from 1990 to 1998, and he later became Commissioner of the Texas Real Estate Commission. In 2010, he was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Republican Party member. On 4 September 2019, he announced that he would not seek re-election in 2020.
