Bilal Hadfi (1995-13 November 2015), also known as Abu Mujahid al-Baljiki, was a member of the Islamic State from Belgium.
Biography[]
Bilal Hadfi was born in 1995 in France to a family of Sunni Muslims, although he was not very religious at first. Always dreaming of being a truck driver, he failed his test after studying at the Koninklijk Technisch School in Diest, 40 miles east of the capital of Belgium, Brussels. Hadfi lived in Neder-sur-Heembeek in Belgium afterwards, and in time he became a radical Islamist; headed to Syria to fight in the Syrian Civil War alongside the Islamic State. Later, he returned to Belgium, where he became a member of Abdelhamid Abaaoud's terrorist cell. He was one of the participants in the November 2015 Paris attacks, detonating his suicide vest at the Stade de France on the night of 13 November 2015 as France and Germany had a friendly soccer match.
