Big Akai

Big Akai (born 1971) was a Japanese former street gang leader who led the Bloody Eye gang with his brother Little Akai before they cofounded a porn production company after they turned away from street crime in 2005.

Biography[]

Big Akai was born in 1971, the older brother of Little Akai. The two brothers, who grew up in a working-class family, became street thugs and founded the red-clad Bloody Eye gang in Kabukicho, Tokyo, doing paid dirty work for the yakuza and triads to make money. On 9 December 2005, the Bloody Eye was hired by Snake Flower Triad boss Lau Ka Long to kidnap Haruka Sawamura from West Park as the Blue Z and White Edge gangs torched the homeless encampment, and the gang returned to Club Debolah to celebrate after their success. Later that night, Haruka's protector Kazuma Kiryu came to Debolah to confront the Bloody Eye, defeating both of the Akai brothers and their gang in a dance floor brawl. Kiryu beat Big Akai into revealing that the Bloody Eye kidnapped Haruka for Lau Ka Long. Shortly after the fight at Debolah, the humiliated Bloody Eye gang disbanded, and the Akai brothers joined the new Color Gang, led by Masahiro Chono. The brothers later decided to form a porn production company called Redsnake, going legitimate. In 2010, the Akai brothers ran into Kiryu on the street and had a friendly conversation with him about how they turned their lives around, and gifted him a copy of their film "Gals Wone Wild in Yokosuka".
