Beselot Adugna Wagaye (1487-) was a general of the Ethiopian Empire and the founder of the city of Gambera in the present-day Somali Region of Ethiopia. Beselot founded Gambera in 1530 and transformed it into a powerful walled city which held off Ottoman attacks during the Ethiopian-Adal War; in 1533, he led a retaliatory invasion of Somalia to drive out the Ottomans, resulting in a victory at the Battle of Sabun.
