Berthun (865-884) was a Danish Viking warrior who served as a captain of Ledeborg during the late 9th century AD. Following the disastrous Battle of Broughton, Berthun took command of the ten remaining Danish cavalry who escaped the fight, but King Alfred the Great and his West Saxon army chased them across the River Avon and destroyed them.
