Bertha of Swabia (907-2 January 961) was Queen Consort of Burgundy from 922 to 937 with Rudolph II of Burgundy.
Biography[]
Bertha was born in 907, the daughter of Burchard II of Swabia and Regelinda of Zurich and a member of House Hunfriding. She was a woman of German ethnicity and culture and a Catholic. She married Rudolph II of Burgundy in 922, and Adelaide of Italy was their common daughter; their son Conrad of Burgundy would succeed Rudolph as King of Burgundy on his death in 937. Bertha would later remarry to Hugh of Italy on 12 December 937, and he died in 947. Bertha outlived her second husband, and she remarried a third time before dying in 961.
