Biography[]
Bernardo de Gorgeto was a renegade Italian brigand leader who operated in France, having rebelled from the Duchy of Milan, who owned Metz in Burgundy. Gorgeto was bribed by England to join their army in 1168, and became one of the garrison commanders in Paris.
