Bernardo Nattore was an Italian physician and professor who lectured at the University of Palermo during the 1940s. In 1946, his refusal to grant passing grades and a surgeon's qualification to Mafia boss Croce Malo's unqualified nephew resulted in Hector Adonis advising Nattore to flee the island, lest the Sicilian Mafia murder him.
