Bernard J. Berry (3 July 1913-6 January 1963) was Mayor of Jersey City from 15 December 1953 to 21 May 1957, succeeding John V. Kenny and preceding Charles S. Witkowski.

Biography[]

Bernard J. Berry was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1913, and he entered Democratic politics before serving as Mayor of Jersey City from 1953 to 1957. During his tenure, he banned rock music and the movie The Moon is Blue, and he left office in 1957. He died in 1963.
