
Bermudo Fernandez (1050-) was a courtier of the Kingdom of Castile. The son of Fernando Ordonez and Fronilda, he became the stepson of King Alfonso of Leon.
Biography[]
Bermudo Fernandez was born in 1050 to Fernando Ordonez and Fronilda. He was of the royal house of Leon, and he was the great-grandson of Bermudo I of Galicia. Fernandez became a courtier of the Kingdom of Castile, attending court in Ponferrada, Astorga. Before he was sixteen, his father died, and in September 1066 his mother remarried to King Alfonso of Leon.
