Berkshire is a county in southeast England, west of London. It borders Oxfordshire to the north, Buckinghamshire to the northeast, Greater London to the east, Surrey to the southeast, Wiltshire to the west, and Hampshire to the south. Major settlements include Reading, Slough, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Newbury, Woodley, Windsor, Thatcham, and Sandhurst. In 2016, Berkshire had a population of 896,800 people.
