Bentura Calasanz (1691-1722) was a Spanish Navy captain who commanded the frigate Conde de Tolosa in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy. In 1722, his ship battled the British Royal Navy ship HMS Devastation off the northern coast of Jamaica, and his ship was also attacked by the pirate ship Jackdaw under Captain Edward Kenway. As Kenway prepared to board the Conde de Tolosa, he killed Calasanz with a swivel cannon.
