Benny "Uncle Seven" Ong (1907-1994), born Kai Sui Ong, was a Chinese-American gangster and boss of the Hip Sing Tong in Chinatown, New York City. Born in Harbin, Manchuria, Ong emigrated to the United States in 1923 and worked in a Chinatown laundry and several other menial jobs before joining Hip Sing. Ong became a familiar figure on Pell Street in Chinatown, becoming advisor-in-chief-for-life of the Hip Sing Tong. He was first imprisoned from 1935 to 1952 after taking the fall for a murder, and he once again went to jail from 1977 to 1978 after being convicted of bribery, having had numerous friends among district attorneys, police inspectors, and chiefs of detectives. Ong was described as the "Godfather of Chinatown" by the 1990s, and he died in 1994. His godson Michael Chen was the founder of the Flying Dragons.
