Benjamin Tucker Eames (4 June 1818-6 October 1901) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-RI 1) from 4 March 1871 to 3 March 1879, succeeding Thomas Jenckes and preceding Nelson W. Aldrich.

Biography[]

Benjamin Tucker Eames was born in Dedham, Massachusetts in 1818, and he worked as a teacher in North Attleboro before becoming a lawyer in Providence in 1845. He went on to serve in the State House from 1845 to 1850, in the State Senate from 1854 to 1857 and from 1863 to 1864, in the State House from 1859 to 1860 and from 1868 to 1869, in the US House of Representatives from 1871 to 1879, in the State House from 1879 to 1881, and in the State Senate from 1884 to 1885, and he died in 1901.
