
Benjamin Gorham (13 February 1775-27 September 1855) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-MA 1) from 6 November 1820 to 3 March 1823 (succeeding Jonathan Mason and preceding Daniel Webster), from 23 July 1827 to 3 March 1831 (succeeding Webster and preceding Nathan Appleton), and from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835 (succeeding Appleton and preceding Abbott Lawrence).
Biography[]
Benjamin Gorham was born in Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1775, the son of Nathaniel Gorham. He practiced law in Boston before serving in the state house from 1814 to 1818, in the state senate from 1819 to 1821, in the US House of Representatives from 1820 to 1823, 1827 to 1831, and 1833 to 1835, and in the state house in 1841. He died in Boston in 1855.
