Benjamin Franklin Leiter (13 October 1813-17 June 1866) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-OH 18) from 4 March 1855 to 3 March 1859, succeeding George Bliss and preceding Sidney Edgerton. Born in Leitersburg, Maryland, he taught school before moving to Canton, Ohio and becoming a teacher and lawyer. He served in the state house from 1848 to 1849, as Mayor of Canton from 1852 to 1853 and from 1854 to 1855, and in Congress.
