Benjamin David Cecil (1855-1899) was a US Army soldier who was stationed at Fort Wallace, South Dakota during the Plains Indian Wars. In 1899, he was killed while attempting to pursue the outlaws Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith after they rescued Captain Lyndon Monroe from the fort.
