Belmar is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was incorporated on 9 April 1885 from portions of Wall Township, and its name means "beautiful sea" in Italian. Belmar had a population of 5,684 people in 2016. In the 2016 presidential election, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump won Belmar with 53% of the vote.
