Bedivere

Bedivere (born 10 September 451) was one of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table.

Biography[]

Bedivere Iddawg was born in 451, the son of Bedrawd, and he became a knight at King Arthur's court, losing a hand in his service. He later helped Culhwch slay the giant Ysbaddaden, striking the giant with a poisoned spear. Bedivere was one of the few survivors of the Battle of Camlan, and he was ordered by Arthur to throw his legendary sword, Excalibur, into a river. He then spent the rest of his life in a hermitage.
