Bedeborg was a Viking city-state in England which existed from 878 to 916, with Bedeborg (Bedford) serving as its capital. It was originally part of Mercia, but, under the 878 Treaty of Wedmore, Bedeborg became Danish territory. It was ultimately reconquered by King Edward the Elder in 916.
