Beachley

Beachley is a village in Gloucestershire, England, near the border with Monmouthshire, Wales. Before the 9th century, the peninsula was part of the Welsh kingdom of Gwent, and it was the site of a 1056 meeting between Kings Gruffydd ap Llywelyn of Wales and Edward the Confessor of England. In October 1644, during the English Civil War, Beachley was overrun by Parliamentarian forces. By 2011, Beachley had a population of 764 people.
