Bayardo Bar attack

The Bayardo Bar attack occurred on 13 August 1975 when the Provisional IRA bombed the Bayardo Bar in Belfast, Northern Ireland and shot at the patrons. The bar was frequented by Ulster Volunteer Force unionist thugs, and the attack killed four innocent Protestant civilians and one UVF member, while over 50 people were injured in the attack. The attack was in response to the Miami Showband killings on 31 July, when the UVF murdered three members of "the Miami Showband", an Irish country pop band in a failed attempt to frame them as IRA gun smugglers.
