The Bavarian Free-minded Party was a liberal political party in Bavaria that was active from 1861 to 1933. The party advocated for greater economic and religious freedoms in Bavaria, but it opposed full citizenship for non-South Germans, and it also supported a strong military. It was one of many liberal factions that (mostly unsuccessfully) attempted to compete with the Conservative Party of Bavaria for power.
