The Bavaria Party (BP) is a Bavarian nationalist political party in Germany that was founded in 1946. The party described itself as patriotic Bavarian and supported an independent Bavaria within the European Union, claiming the legacy of the Bavarian People's Party. In 1954, the BP formed an alliance with the Social Democratic Party of Germany and the Free Democratic Party to force the Christian Social Union in Bavaria out of power for three years, dominating the state parliament until 1957. The party was last elected to the state parliament in 1962, after which it declined.
