The Battle of Stromboli was a naval battle which was fought off the Sicilian volcanic island of Stromboli in 1676 during the Franco-Dutch War.

In July 1674, the Sicilian city of Messina revolted against Spanish rule and asked for French protection, resulting in the Spanish Navy blockading the city. A French fleet of 20 ships was dispatched to break through the Spanish blockade, defeating the Spanish ships off the Lipari Islands on 11 February 1675 and bringing considerable food supplies to the besieged city. The Spanish asked the Dutch for assistance, and Admiral Michiel de Ruyter was sent to the Mediterranean with eighteen larger warships. The Spanish added one ship to the Dutch fleet, and the Dutch-Spanish fleet encountered a French fleet under Admiral Abraham Duquesne as he escorted a convoy near the Lipari Islands and the volcanic island of Stromboli. In the ensuing battle on 8 January 1676, Duquesne was wounded during a spirited Dutch attack on his van, and the two fleets battled along parallel courses after six hours of fighting. Ultimately, the Dutch and Spanish disengaged and retreated to Milazzo, while the French returned to Messina.
