The Battle of Shadjemu was fought between the armies of Ancient Egypt and the Libu chiefdom of Dakhla in 1188 BC amid the Late Bronze Age collapse.

In 1188 BC, Pharaoh Ramesses III continued his campaigns to conquer the Libu oasis chiefdoms of the Western Desert by declaring war on Dakhla and dispatching his generals to conquer the sizeable chiefdom. The Libu chief Webaka moved his army out of Mut to threaten the Egyptian city of Wehat Resyt and confront the Egyptian armies. At Shadjemu, his force was intercepted by the Egyptian general Tasenayu. In the ensuing battle, the Egyptian army took up positions on a sandy hilltop and launched a three-pronged assault on Dakhla's main force and its flanks. The Egyptian chariots helped repel Dakhla's attempts to charge through gaps in the Egyptian line and threaten their archers; the chariots proceeded to help pursue the fleeing Libyans. Before long, Dakhla's army was outflanked and massacred, and Webaka was slain. The remnants of his army withdrew towards Mut, but his successor Paiserkui of Dakhla and Amun's shattered force were destroyed by Tasenayu in a follow-up battle.
