The Battle of Sameucia was a battle of the Peloponnesian War which was fought between Athens and Sparta in Locris in 422 BC.

Following the Battle of Palerna and the capture of Argolis from Athens, Sparta renewed its offensive by dispatching an army from Phocis to invade Locris, an Athenian-held region of central Greece. The Spartans were joined by the mercenary Kassandra, while the Athenians sought mercenary help from Pedasos the Efficient. Kassandra proceeded to slay Pedasos, 21 Athenian soldiers, and 6 captains (including the battle polemarch Kerkyon), enabling the Spartans to drive the Athenians from the field and claim Locris for themselves.
