The Battle of Rheda was fought in 1757 between the armies of Hanover and France amid the Seven Years' War.

After the Battle of Wenningfeld, Ferdinand of Brunswick's Hanoverian corps came to include newly raised regiments from Hesse-Kassel and Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel and grew to 7,200 troops. This German army was attacked by the French as it sacked the town of Rheda, resulting in a confrontation in which the Hanoverian Kavallerie-Regiment von Uetze outflanked the French army and massacred its artillery as the French infantry was outflanked and routed by the German regiments.
