The Battle of Rehren was fought between the armies of France and Great Britain in 1759 during the Seven Years' War.

After defeating a British army at Bückeburg, Victor-Francois de Broglie marched his army east of the town to raid the town of Lutter. The French were met by an army consisting almost entirely of British Army redcoats, as well as smaller Hanoverian and Hessian contingents. The French Regiment de Issoire and Regiment de Jarny broke the Hessian musketeers on the Allied left, clearing the way for the French right to advance. The French cavalry on the left broke the British grenadiers, enabling the French infantry to push the rest of the Allies from the field.
