The Battle of Pouilly-sur-Serre occurred in 1944 during World War II when the French Resistance saboteur Sean Devlin attacked a German outpost in rural Champagne-Ardenne. Devlin noticed a German artillery position and armored detachment in the farmland of rural France, so he pulled close to the base with his blue Aurora racing car and used his silenced Sten submachine gun to shoot several German Waffen-SS soldiers dead from a distance. Devlin then infiltrated the base, where he killed the remaining SS soldiers before destroying the three German panzer tanks with dynamite and also destroying the artillery pieces. Devlin then escaped in his car, having succeeded in destroying the German encampment.
