The Battle of Piaski was fought on 26 May 1655 during the Khmelnytsky Uprising when a Polish army led by Janusz Kiszka destroyed a larger Cossack army led by Maksim Nesterenko.

Colonel Nesterenko's army of 164 Zaporizhian Cossacks attacked Warlord Janusz Kiszka's much smaller party of 68 Polish soldiers southeast of Lublin, hoping to eliminate all Polish resistance on the road to the city. However, Jerzy Wisniewski and his mercenary company joined the battle and helped Kiszka's Scottish mercenaries and Polish reiters turn the tide. The Polish cavalry stormed into the ranks of poorly-armored, poorly-equipped Cossack infantry and massacred them, and Wisniewski captured Nesterenko.
