The Battle of Ocoro Hospital occurred in 2019 when the Santa Blanca Cartel attempted to seize control of the Ocoro hospital and transform it into a cocaine lab following the destruction of their fishing boat laboratory and coca paste factory by American special forces.

Major Anthony Perryman's Ghost Recon team succeeded in destroying Gonzalo Yana's cocaine production network as a means of weakening his control over Ocoro department, forcing Yana - desperate to prove himself to his grandfather Rudolfo "El Yayo" Yana - to attempt to re-establish his cocaine production from the Ocoro hospital. Kataris 26 leader Pac Katari dispatched a handful of fighters to defend the hospital, and he requested the Americans' help with defending it. Not long after the Americans arrived, cartel trucks began to arrive at the hospital. While the Kataris resistance fighters used heavy machine-guns to blast the cartel's vehicles, Perryman lobbed grenades at the parked vehicles, causing mass confusion and destruction among the sicario ranks. The commotion eventually attracted the attention of the Bolivian government's La Unidad military police unit, who fought a three-way battle with both the cartel and the hospital's defenders. Eventually, the cartel attacks petered out, though the government continued to dispatch forces to dislodge the Americans. The Americans held out until the government sent in attack helicopters, upon which the Americans were forced to flee in a stolen truck and drive down mountainsides until they were clear of the helicopter and its missiles. Meanwhile, Gonzalo Yana hanged himself at his mansion to take responsibility to his failure and prevent his boss Rodrigo Carlos Pérez Morales from punishing his grandfather.
