The Battle of Malcolm Bay was a naval battle which was fought between the pirate ship Jackdaw and the British Royal Navy off the coast of southwestern Jamaica in 1722 during the Golden Age of Piracy.

Following the Battle of Jackson Bay, Kenway felt betrayed by the British, whom he had helped in their battle with the Spanish Navy, only for the British ships to fire on the Jackdaw and provoke a battle. Kenway responded by attacking the British man-of-war HMS Princes Galley off Malcolm Bay after noticing that the ship was carrying a cargo of 200 cloth, 15 sugar, and 1,000 reales. After sinking this ship and picking up its cargo from the water, Kenway attacked the British man-of-war HMS Rose and looted another 1,000 reales after boarding the ship and forcing its crew to surrender. Kenway then witnesed the man-of-war HMS Gibraltar and the brig HMS Escort fighting with the Spanish brig San Lorenzo, and, after the Gibraltar and the San Lorenzo broke off battle, Kenway gave chase to the Gibraltar and captured it, plundering its wealthy cargo. He then turned to attack the frigate HMS Merlin, forcing its crew to surrender and releasing them to reduce his wanted level.

At nightfall, Kenway spotted a three-ship squadron, consisting of the man-of-war HMS Invincible and the frigates HMS Royal James and HMS Sure Prize, sailing in his direction. The Jackdaw opened fire on this squadron with its mortar before blasting the British ships with her cannons; he also sunk the gunboat HMS Fortune. Having destroyed eight British ships, Kenway decided to sail off in triumph.
