The Battle of Kunjpura was fought in 1760 when the Marathi general Sadashivrao Bhau defeated an Afghan-Mughal army near Kunjpura on the banks of the Yamuna.

After the capture of Delhi, the Marathi general Sadashivrao Bhau and his allied army positioned itself for battle against Ahmad Shah Abdali's Afghan army Najib ud-Dawlah's Mughal army. The Marathas, aided by Ibrahim Khan Gardi's musketeers, achieved an easy victory over the 15,000-strong Afghan garrison of Kunjpura, killing Abdali's general Najabat Khan and executing Mian Qutb Shah, the beheader of Dattaji Rao Shinde. Ahmad Shah was powerless to aid Kunjpura's garrisons due to heavy rains swelling the Yamuna River, and the whole Afghan garrison of Kunjpura was either enslaved or massacred within sight of the Durrani camp. An infuriated Abdali ordered a crossing of the river at all costs, setting the stage for the Third Battle of Panipat.
