The Battle of Jiameng Pass occurred in the spring of 195 AD when the Liang Province warlord Ma Teng led a large army against the invading Yellow Turban army of Sui Yu and Wu Huan in Wudu Commandery in present-day Gansu. Ma Teng and his general Pang De led their army south from San Pass in Si Province to deal with a Yellow Turban invasion, meeting the rebel army in a clearing of the Gansu woods. Ma Teng and Pang De sought out the Yellow Turban commanders Sui Yu and Wu Huan, wounding and capturing them in separate duels and also eliminating the majority of their forces. After the battle, both Sui Yu and Wu Huan - who were unrepentant - were executed on Ma Teng's orders.
