The Battle of Imias was a battle fought between the Spanish Navy and the pirate ship Jackdaw off the southeastern coast of Cuba in 1722. After intervening in several battles between the Spanish and the British Royal Navy off Jamaica, the pirate captain Edward Kenway took notice of a three-ship Spanish naval convoy - the Spanish frigates Triunfo and Neptuno and the schooner Zabra Augusta - sailing off Cumberland Bay (Guantanamo). The Jackdaw sank the Zabra Augusta with its cannon fire before boarding and capturing both Spanish frigates amid a storm; both frigates carried large quantities of wood and sugar.
