The Battle of Cayo Campo was a naval battle between the pirate ship Jackdaw and the Spanish frigate Falcon Blanco Mayor which was fought off the Isla de la Juventud in 1722 during the Golden Age of Piracy.
Captain Edward Kenway sailed the Jackdaw north from Grand Cayman after taking part in, and witnessing, several battles with the British and Spanish navies. After navigating his way through a storm, Kenway caught sight of the Spanish frigate Falcon Blanco Mayor sailing for Cienfuegos in southern Cuba, carrying 100 metal pieces and 30 barrels of rum. Using his ship's mortars to lure Falcon Blanco Mayor into battle, Kenway immobilized and boarded the Spanish Navy ship. His crew overwhelmed the Spanish crew and forced them to surrender, before plundering the ship and setting the captives free to decrease his wanted level. With this last prize taken, Kenway decided to rest and refit in Kingston, Jamaica.
