The Battle of Bandar Pekan Lama occurred in 2010 when the American CIA agent Rico Rodriguez assaulted the Panauan Army-held village of Bandar Pekan Lama amid the Panauan Civil War.
Bandar Pekan Lama, a sizeable market town in rural East Tanah Raya, housed four fuel depots guarded by Colonel Sulung. The CIA agent Rico Rodriguez, sent to create chaos in Panau to lure out the missing CIA agent Tom Sheldon, parachuted down to Bandar Pekan Lama to eliminate the military presence there. Rodriguez destroyed the fuel depots and assassinated Colonel Sulung after a fierce firefight with his elite bodyguards. Sulung's death helped throw the local Panauan soldiers into disarray.
