The Battle of Baie-Sainte-Claire was a naval battle of the French and Indian War that was fought between the British privateer Morrigan and several French Navy ships off the North Atlantic island of Anticosti.

The battle began when the Morrigan, captained by Shay Cormac, sighted the French gunboat Guirlande and schooner Gazelle off the western coast of Anticosti and initiated battle. The French brig Legere joined the fight, but the Morrigan was able to destroy all three French ships, boarding and capturing some of them before plundering and scuttling them. Afterwards, Cormac had his ship sail around the tip of Anticosti to attack the French schooner Alcmene, only to spot the Assassin frigate Tundra, which was fighting for the French. Despite heavy crew losses, Cormac was able to storm, capture, plunder, and scuttle the larger Tundra, while sinking the Alcmene. As night fell, Cormac sighted the French frigate Aurore and schooners Diligente and Victoire patrolling restricted waters, and he attacked and destroyed the French squadron, further weakening the French Navy in the region. Afterwards, he destroyed the bounty-hunting brig Trident and schooner Fugitive, completing his preying on the waters around Anticosti, and enabling him to sail on to new conquests.
