The Battle of Awan Cendawan Power Plant occurred in 2010 when the ultranationalist Ular Boys seized control of the Awan Cendawan Power Plant from the Panauan Army amid the Panauan Civil War.
Seeking to take control of Panau's sole nuclear reactor, which lay along the Sawah River, Ular Boys leader Sri Irawan hired the undercover CIA agent Rico Rodriguez (posing as the mercenary "Scorpio") to aid a unit of his fighters in taking control of Awan Cendawan. The Ular Boys stormed the fortress as Rodriguez destroyed its fuel stores and other infrastructure, and the Ular Boys fought off a fierce Panauan military counterattack before claiming the base for themselves.
