The Basin Gang was an American outlaw gang of the Wild West which was based in Pike's Basin during the 1890s. In 1898, the gang gave shelter to the notorious con man Kyle Loach when he escaped from police custody in Blackwater, leading to police chief Oswald Dunbar sending the hired guns Arizona Kid, Cal Hemsworth, Matt Channing, and Dusty Sands to take out the gang and recapture Loach. The quartet shot their way through the gang camp and captured Loach before fighting their way out of the canyon, killing all of the remaining gang members. By 1911, the Bollard Twins gang had taken over the canyon in the absence of the Basin Gang.
