Basim ibn Ishaq (born 844) was an Iraqi leader of the Hidden Ones during the late 9th century AD. In 872 AD, he and his apprentice Hytham met the Viking prince Sigurd Styrbjornson in Constantinople as Sigurd was planning to sack the Hagia Sophia, and they became friends and decided to accompany Sigurd back to Norway. There, they met Sigurd's adoptive brother Eivor and became close, and they helped Rogaland with its war against King Kjotve the Cruel of Agder before accompanying Eivor and Sigurd on their migration to England and their settlement in Ravensthorpe. In the process, Basim warned Eivor of a conspiracy (by the Order of the Ancients) to control both the Norse and the Anglo-Saxons, slowly indoctrinating Eivor into the Hidden Ones.
