Basim Rahimi (7 May 1992 – 11 March 2016) was an Islamic State fighter from Tunisia.
Biography[]
Basim Rahimi was born on 7 May 1992 in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia. Rahimi was initially a physics student at the University of Tunis, but he went on to join the Islamic State militant group in the Second Libyan Civil War and fight against the Libyan National Army in northeastern Libya. Rahimi became a suicide bomber, and he carried out an attack against the Libyan army in Benghazi.
